People are against BJP: UP Cong chief Raj Babbar

Confident of winning the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Congress' Uttar Pradesh chief Raj Babbar claimed that his party will form government in the Centre. Babbar also targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his Kedarnath visit by calling it a 'staged one'.

Agra: Ascertaining the degree of support enjoyed by Congress, party's Uttar Pradesh Congress committee president Raj Babbar on Monday claimed that the Congress will form government at the Centre. He said that people want to remove the ruling BJP dispensation from the Centre as they are against the BJP and their policies.

Terming Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meditation as 'acting', the actor-turned-politician said, "We have been trained, hence we could act in our films. PM Modi does that without having formal training."

He added: "The way PM Modi kept on changing his attire during his Kedarnath visit, it is quite similar to what happens in movies."

On the mudslinging that went on during the 2019 general elections campaign trails, the UP Congress chief said that he is ashamed of the personal attacks that have been made during the poll season.

Reacting to the alleged internal dissent in the Election Commission, Babbar said that he would not comment on the apex poll panel as it is a constitutional body.
