Neighbours clash over electrical pole in Haryana

Clashes broke out between two neighbours when a local named Raju, after coordinating with the power workers, tried to move an electrical pole in the Fatehabad's Ratiya market area on Monday.

Fatehabad: Clashes broke out between two neighbours in the Fatehabad's Ratiya market area following a disagreement over the removal of an electrical pole on Monday.

The issue began when a local - Raju, after coordination with the power department workers, tried to shift the electric pole to a different place. This move was, however, opposed by another person, as it was being set up in front of his house. The latter also staged a protest, which eventually escalated into clashes.

When the scuffle intensified, electrical staff backed out and the people of neighbourhood intervened.

Commenting on the situation, a junior engineer of the electricity company said that any electrical pole that has already been installed cannot be removed.

"If the workers had shifted the pole then that would have been an illegal act," he added.
