Delhi: Man involved in dacoities held after brief encounter

A man, involved in several dacoities, was arrested in New Delhi after an exchange of fire near the Khajuri flyover.

New Delhi: A man, allegedly involved in several dacoities, was arrested after a brief encounter near the Khajuri flyover in northeast Delhi, police said on Wednesday. The accused was identified as Rohtash, a resident of Mukund Vihar in Karawal Nagar.

The accused was involved in dacoities at Muthoot Finance, Sunlight Colony and several others.

"An exchange of fire took place on Tuesday at about 11 pm near Gali Mandu underpass near Khajuri flyover between the police team and Rohtash after which he was arrested," said PS Kushwah, Deputy Commissioner of Police.
