J'khand: Villagers attacks forest dept officials, 6 jawans hurt

A team of forest department officials in Jharkhand was attacked by unidentified people in Chata village. The team went there to remove illegal encroachment on the forest land. At least six volunteers and home guards jawans injured in the incident.

Chata: The people of Chata village in Dhanbad district of Jharkhand attacked a team of forest department officials who went there to remove the illegal encroachment on the forest land.

At least half a dozen volunteers and home guards jawans were injured in the stone pelting by the villagers. Meanwhile, the patrolling vehicle of the DFO was also damaged by the villagers.

An FIR has been lodged in Sadar police station against the fifty unidentified villagers.
