Iran to partially withdraw from nuclear deal

Iran is partially withdrawing from the nuclear deal it signed with the world power. The move came a year after the United States pulled out of the agreement.

Moscow:Iran on Wednesday has announced that it is partially withdrawing from the nuclear deal it signed with world powers.

The move came a year after the United States pulled out of the agreement.

As per reports, the letters outlining the Islamic Republic's partial withdrawal from its 2015 nuclear deal have been delivered to ambassadors of countries remaining inside the deal- Britain, China, Russia, the European Union, France and Germany.

On the other hand France gave a warning that if Iran steps back from the deal then Europe will not have any choice but to impose economic sanctions against Iran.

However, Iran has lost Europe's support which would allow European firms to continue trading items with Iran, depressing the economy still further.

Europe has also received warning from US administration that they will face fines if they trade with Iran and try to operate in the US market.

Iranian foreign minister Mohamad Javad Zarif, who's in Moscow, said the Islamic Republic sees it as "expedient to stop implementing some of its commitments and some of the measures it had voluntarily taken within the nuclear deal for the time being".
