India secure under leadership of PM Modi: Sitharaman

Claiming that there were no curfews and riots under the tenure of the BJP-led government at the Centre, Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that India is secure under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Bhopal: Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during a press conference on Thursday claimed that India is secure under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi.

"Over the last five years, PM Modi-led government ran the country without any curfews and riots. Be it internal or the issue on the border, the government has reverted to that," Sitharaman said.

"We never compromised on anything related to terrorism. We follow the principle of no tolerance," added the Defence Minister.

She also said that the country has received a lot of praise on various international platforms for its foreign policies.
