Hyd: Pipeline blast at chemical company leaves 9 injured

Nine people were injured in a pipeline blast at Salicylates Chemicals located in Mallapur area of Hyderabad. Three of the nine injured are in critical condition, while others were discharged after treatment.

Hyderabad:A pipeline blast left nine people wounded, leaving three among them severely injured, at a chemical company in Hyderabad's Mallapur area on Wednesday night.

The victims were immediately rushed to a hospital after the incident.

"The pipeline blast occurred at Salicylates Chemical company, which is located in Mallapur area under the limits of Nacharam police station. The splinters of the pipeline hit nine people working there," Nacharam Circle Inspector, M Mahesh, told a news agency over the phone.

Three of the nine injured are in critical condition, he said, while three were discharged after treatment.

The police said that they will register a case and investigate the matter.
