WATCH: Horse forced to dance at a wedding in Maharashtra

Irrespective of government's efforts to stop cruelty against animals for earning money, a horse was mercilessly beaten during a marriage ceremony in Maharastra. The animal was also whipped when it refused to dance during the event.

Parbhani: Have you ever seen a Madari goading their animals in performing feats? While the acts seem funny and entertaining for the public, the animal undergoes a painful ordeal, right from its training to the run-up to the so-called 'funny antics'.

Physical violence, emotional abuse and life-threatening neglect are daily realities for many such animals. They are abused constantly to be fit enough to do special tricks to entertain people, with their tricks and stunts.

A similar incident was seen at a village in Parbhani district of Maharastra, where a horse was whipped mercilessly by its handlers in order to make it dance during a marriage ceremony.

As the horse was not dancing, two boys tortured and forced it to dance. The handlers continued to prod it until the audience asked them not to force the animal.

In order to earn money, the use of animals and inhuman torture towards them has always been repeated in the past. Therefore, the government has tried to bring control through strong restrictions. But, due to the negligence of the administration, animals are still being subjected to such inhumane acts.
