New Delhi:In a bid to enhance bilateral cooperations, French Deputy Foreign Minister JB Lemoyne became the first leader from his country to visit India after the re-election of the Modi government.
The French Minister of State for Europe and Foreign Affairs confirmed that first Rafale jet will be delivered to India within a few months. JB Lemoyane also confirmed that similarly all other Rafale jets will be delivered to India one by one.
First Rafale jet will be delivered soon to India confirms French Foreign Affairs Minister Earlier today, Lemoyane met MoS Muraleedharan in the national capital today. Both leaders discussed about stepping up India's engagements further. He will also be meeting External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar later this afternoon.Speaking to media after his interaction with the alumnus of Alliance Francaise De, the French Minister also talked about the personal bond and mutual respect between Prime Minister Modi and President Macron. He also confirmed that both leaders will also meet on the sidelines of the G7 summit and several agreements are likely to be signed.
On the issue of terrorism, French Minister said that his country stands with India. He asserted saying 'every single initiative to fight against terrorism is welcomed. In this century, terrorism is a threat to every single country.'
'We must also address issues of cyber security and terror financing,' French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs JB Lemoyane stressed.
