New Delhi: Jharkhand BJP MP Mahesh Poddar said that Congress was suffering because of infighting within the party. He said that the fight was regarding the allocation of tickets.
With Dadai Dubey withdrawing support from Kriti Azad and Pradip Baluch issuing statements against the party, the party is undergoing a turbulent phase. Poddar said that apart from Ranchi Lok Sabha constituency, Congress' candidates in the rest 6 seats were not strong enough to defeat the BJP.
Further, taking a dig at the state Congress, Poddar said, "There is a scarcity of leaders in Congress. Even the state president is a former Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) member. This time Jharkhand will be completely Congress-mukth."
He added that Ravindra Pandey and Ravindra Rai were dejected on not getting tickets and that was why they did not extend their support to the party. He said that he was hopeful of Ram Tahal Chaudhary's inclusion into the party.
Chaudhary is a five-time MP from Ranchi who was denied a ticket by the BJP.
