Adivasi Dragon Fighter Area Commander nabbed in Kokrajhar

Identified as Ramjit Hembrom (29) alias Raja, the  Area Commander of Adivasi Dragon Fighter (ADF) was nabbed during a joint operation by Indian Army's Red Horn Division and Kokrajhar police. Around three IEDs were seized from the suspect's house.

Kokrajhar:An Area Commander of Adivasi Dragon Fighter (ADF) was arrested in Dubragaon village of Assam's Kokrajhar district on Friday.

Identified as Ramjit Hembrom (29) alias Raja, the insurgent was nabbed during a joint operation by Indian Army's Red Horn Division and Kokrajhar police.

Hembrom is the son of Dhena Hembrom, a resident of Dhubragaon located in Karigaon under Kokrajhar district.

During the interrogation, he confessed that he is a cadre of Adivasi Dragon Fighter (ADF).

Around three Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) were recovered from his house.

He has been handed over to local police for further interrogation.

Further investigation is being handled by the police.
