Dantewada: A Naxal commander carrying a reward of ₹13 lakh on his head, along with three other red rebels, surrendered before Dantewada police on Wednesday.
The surrendered Naxals were involved in several fraudulent cases and were active in Naxalite activities in different areas for a long time, said Dantewada SP Abhishek Pallava.
4 Naxals surrender in C'garh's Dantewada Naxal commander Suresh alias Vasudev was allegedly involved in activities in Chhattisgarh’s Naxal-infested area Bijapur and Odisha, in which nearly 13 jawans were killed.
The other three red rebels who surrendered were Dilip Poonam, Laxman Atami and Munna Ram.
The police had been looking for them for a long time and said that they ended up surrendering themselves after they got fed up by the 'Naxal' ideology.
