Patna:Addressing the rally in Bihar's Nawada on Friday, Former Congress president, Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader, Tejashwi Yadav hit out at NDA government and accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar over Galwan Valley conflict with China and unemployment issue in the state.
Addressing the rally, Rahul Gandhi referred to PM Modi’s old 'promise' of depositing 15 lakhs in people's bank accounts said: 'BJP promising 19 lakh jobs in Bihar akin to its pledge of depositing Rs 15 lakh in bank accounts of people.'
Gandhi also alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar broke the backbone of the farmers and medium and small businesses in the state.
He said that Modi calls himself a nationalist but weakened the country over the last six years. 'Economy is suppressed and farmers oppressed,' Gandhi added.
Gandhi said that the Prime Minister worked for Ambani and Adani.
"Don’t lie to Biharis, Modi Ji. Did you give jobs to Biharis? Last elections, PM promised two crores jobs, no one got them. In public, he says I bow my head to Army, farmers, labourers and traders. But once he reaches home, he only works for Ambani and Adani," Rahul Gandhi said in Bihar.
Taking a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Friday said that the prime minister did not think once about the labourers of the state before announcing the nationwide lockdown to combat the coronavirus infection in the country.
He added that many farmers and labourers spoke to him and had said that if the prime minister had given them one day, they would've managed something.
"Narendra Modi did not give you even a single day and announced a nationwide lockdown. He did not think for even a minute that how will the labourers of Bihar get the money? How will they get food & drinking water?" Rahul Gandhi slammed PM Modi.
"Labourers of Bihar left for their native state & walked thousands of kilometres without food & water. Did PM help you? Did he say that he didn't think & ended up making a mistake? Did he offer buses, trucks, trains to go back home? No," he added.
"I met labourers amid Corona pandemic. They told me that had PM given them two days, lakhs of labourers would have easily returned home. They couldn't understand why did the PM not give them at least one day," he added.
The Chinese army martyred 20 of our soldiers and took over 1200 kilometres of our land. When China came inside our land, why did our PM, insulting the heroes, said that no one came inside India. Today I say I bow my head, Rahul Gandhi said in Nawada.

''CM says Bihar is a landlocked state so factories can't be established in absence of sea. Nitish Ji, you're tired now and can't handle Bihar. Punjab, Rajasthan and Haryana are also landlocked states, yet our people go there to work as they have factories'', Said Tejashwi Yadav.
