Bhuj (Gujarat):The Bhuj airport in Gujarat will witness an important incident on Friday. On this day in 1932, JRD Tata, had successfully completed the first commercial flight flying of Tata Airlines from Karachi to Mumbai. Aarohi Pandit will repeat the latter's feat only to relive the glorious moment. This initiative has been taken up by the Indian Woman Pilot Association. Aarohi Pandit, the world's first woman pilot to cross the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean in a Light Sports Aircraft (LSA), will fly solo in a plane to Mumbai's Juhu airport from Bhuj.
The flight was a single-engine De Haviland Pass Moth aircraft. Aarohi will fly with the same capacity aircraft, which was used by JRD Tata. During this, Aarohi will reach Mumbai by the same route as JRD Tata had used 89 years ago.
