Will gift a house or car to Indian women's hockey team on bringing a medal: Savji Dholakia

Surat based diamond merchant Savji Dholakia, known as the Diamond King, on Tuesday announced that he would gift either a house (Rs 11 lakh) or car (Rs 5 lakh) to the Indian women's hockey team on bringing home a medal.

Surat (Gujarat): Savji Dholakia, the founder and chairman of Hari Krishna Exports in a bid to boost the morale of the Indian women's hockey team has announced that he would gift either a house (Rs 11 lakh) or car (Rs 5 lakh) on bringing home a medal. "It is our humble effort to boost the morale of our players. The group has also decided to award others (who have a house) with a brand-new car worth Rs 5 lakhs if the team brings home a medal. Our girls are scripting history with every move at Tokyo 2020. We’re into the semi-finals of the Olympics for the 1st time beating Australia. I am very happy to announce that if they win the final, Hari Krishna Group will provide a house or a new car worth Rs 11 lakhs to the women hockey players who are in dire need of financial assistance. our girls #TokyoOlympics are creating history with every step," tweeted Dholakia.

The Diamond King of Surat, Savji Dholakia is a Philanthroph as he is known for gifting his employees with a house, new car or even jewelry every year as Diwali bonus. Also, Dholakia who is a connoisseur of diamonds, has a keen interest in the field of sports. In the ongoing Tokyo Olympics, the Indian women's hockey team had defeated Australia 1-0 to enter the the semi-finals, and will today take on Argentina at 3:30PM.
