New Delhi:Already facing backlash for her Tweet over Farmers' protests in India, the Barbadian pop singer Rihanna on Tuesday stirred Hornet's nest once again after posting a topless image of herself sporting a Lord Ganesha pendant.
While the image was criticised widely for hurting Hindu sentiments, Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) reacting to the image, filed a police complaint with the Delhi and Mumbai police.
The right-wing organisation has also complained against the Twitter CEO to the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Information Technology demanding necessary legal action in this matter.
VHP criticises Rihanna's topless photo with Ganesha pendant VHP spokesperson Vinod Bansal said that the manner in which an accomplished artist like Rihanna has shown himself wearing a locket bearing the idol of Ganesh Bhagwan with a nude photograph has once again proved that she is not only anti-Hindu but also against India.

"We know the people who are puppeteering these artists. We have given a complaint in this regard to Twitter and also requested Instagram and Facebook that their account should be suspended immediately. Hindu society will not tolerate such insults," Bansal said.
The VHP spokesperson further asked why people who have expressed their opposition through social media on the matter earlier are keeping silence on the posts of anti-Hindu people today? All social media platforms have to understand that Hindu sentiments are also hurt in the world.
