Uttarakhand Congress MLA Rajkumar joins BJP

Congress MLA Rajkumar from the Purola assembly seat has finally joined the BJP. He took membership in the BJP party office in Delhi in the presence of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, and state party president Madan Kaushik.

Dehradun: Congress MLA Rajkumar from the Purola assembly seat has finally joined the BJP. He took membership in the BJP party office in Delhi in the presence of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, and State Party President Madan Kaushik.

The rumours about Congress MLA Rajkumar joining BJP were making rounds for quite some time. Rajkumar was camping in Delhi for several days. It is being said that he was unhappy with Congress for being neglected. Though Congress continued to term the speculation of its MLA joining BJP as a rumour, Rajkumar has ended all the speculation by officially joining the saffron party. It is a setback for Congress since the assembly elections are round the corner.

MLA Rajkumar was earlier with the BJP and switched over to Congress in the 2017 assembly elections. He is once again back in the party ahead of legislative assembly elections in 2022.
