New Delhi:The Centre has allocated a total of 12 crore doses of indigenously manufactured Covaxin and Covishield to all states and union territories for July with Uttar Pradesh, Maharastra and Bihar getting the maximum number of doses. As many as 10 crore Covishield doses have been allocated to states and UTs against a number of 2 crore Covaxin doses. Government statistics available with ETV Bharat stated that Uttar Pradesh has been provided with 1,91,16,660 doses of both vaccines. The state has a targeted population of 15,04,98,822 who need to be inoculated with the Covid-19 jabs.
The state has been provided with 1,58,64,000 Covishield doses and 32,52,660 Covaxin doses. Maharastra is the second state in the list provided with the maximum number of Covid-19 doses. The state has been provided with 95,64,190 doses of Covishield whereas 19,60,990 Covaxin doses have been provided. Maharastra has a targeted population of 9,07,32,824 who need to be inoculated with Covid-19 jabs.

Similarly, Bihar has been provided with 91,81,930 doses of Covid-19 vaccines that include 76,19,640 doses of Covishield and 15,62,290 doses of Covaxin. Bihar has a targeted population of 7,22,85,445 who need to be inoculated with the Covid-19 jabs. Significantly, Delhi was given 20,26,110 doses of both vaccines for July. The national capital has a targeted population of 1,59,50,750 for the 18 plus age group who need to be vaccinated with Covid-19 jabs.
