Prayagraj:Uttar Pradesh DGP Mukul Goyal appeared before High Court on Thursday in connection with the death of a 16-year-old girl student at Mainpuri, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya under suspicious circumstances. Appearing before the court, the DGP informed about the action taken against ASP and DSP for being negligent in the matter. Hearing the DGP's side, the court has directed him to complete the investigation in two months and give information to the court.
In this case, along with DGP, Kanpur range IG Mohit Agarwal along with SP Mainpuri Ashok Kumar Rai as well as Special Investigating Team (SIT) members also appeared. On Wednesday, the High Court had ordered the DGP to stay in Prayagraj regarding this matter. After the order of the court, the DGP took action against the guilty policemen for their negligence and informed the court about it. The High Court has asked to present the compliance report in the next hearing of the case.
