New Delhi:Following the dramatic events in Parliament on the third day of Monsoon Session, Trinamool Congress MP Santanu Sen was suspended from the House for the entire session on Friday. Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu said the House hit a new low with papers being snatched from the minister and torn into pieces.
"Santanu Sen, please withdraw from House. Allow the House to function," said Naidu. After resuming three times, the House was adjourned till July 26, 11 AM. "As you (TMC MP Santanu Sen) know that a resolution has been passed to suspend you from attending the proceedings till the end of the Monsoon session, we request you to leave the House," said Deputy Chairperson of Rajya Sabha Harivansh.
"I raise in deep anguish for the course of events during the first three days of Monsoon Session. I am not able to understand why House is not able to discharge its responsibility," he said.

"I am deeply distressed by the course of events in House. Unfortunately, proceedings of the House hit a new low with papers being snatched from the minister and torn into pieces. Such actions are a clear assault on our Parliamentary democracy," said Naidu.
