Srinagar: Two Pakistani minor girls, who had crossed over to the Indian side along the Line of Control in Poonch area of Jammu and Kashmir, were repatriated on Monday by the authorities. Both the girls were handed over to the authorities from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) at Chakan Da Bagh crossing point.
The two sisters - Laiba Zubair (17) and Sana Zubair (13) - were detained by the security forces on Sunday morning after they crossed over to the Indian side in Mendhar area of Poonch. The two were later handed over to the local police.
The two girls are residents of village Abbasspur, Tehsil Forward Kahuta in PoK. The girls were given sweets and gifts by the Indian authorities as a goodwill gesture while they were handed over to Pakistan authorities.
