1.CBSE class 10 results: 99.04 percent students pass; girls outshine boys by narrow margin

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the class 10 results 2021 on Tuesday at 12 PM exactly without any delay. Girls outshone boys by a slender margin of 0.35 per cent while 99.04 per cent students passed the class 10 exams, the results which were declared by the CBSE on Tuesday.

2. Editors Guild files plea in SC seeking court-monitored SIT probe into Pegasus row

The Editors Guild of India (EGI) has demanded a court-monitored Special Investigation Team probe into the Pegasus snooping row and directions to the Central government to furnish details of contracts entered with foreign companies as well as the list of persons spied upon in a writ petition filed in the Supreme Court.

3. Rahul Gandhi rides bicycle to Parliament over fuel price hike

Opposition parties intensified the protests by heading to conduct a mock session outside the Houses. In a mark of protest against skyrocketing fuel prices, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday rode a bicycle to the parliament. Petrol price has crossed Rs 100 per litre in different parts of the country.

4. Mizoram asks HM's intervention to get supply of emergency medicines

Following the border clash between Assam and Mizoram on July 26, several organizations in Assam had blocked the National Highway 306. This has resulted into a complete halt of goods entering Mizoram which include basic medicines, life saving medical drugs and Covid19 medicines as well, writes ETV Bharat's senior correspondent Gautam Debroy.

5. Assam govt deploys two women officers to maintain law and order along the state border

Assam government has deputed Ramandeep Kaur, Superintendent of Police and Kirti Jali, Deputy Commissioner of Cachar district which borders Kolasib district in Mizoram, to maintain law and order along the state border.

Chinese authorities announced Tuesday mass coronavirus testing in Wuhan as an unusually wide series of COVID-19 outbreaks reached the city where the disease was first detected in late 2019. Mehboob Masli, a Muslim man who had raised his orphaned Hindu daughter Pooja Vadigeri (18), married her off to a Hindu boy as per vedic traditions in Karnataka's Vijayapura recently. He made sure that Pooja's marriage to a Hindu man as per customs was held in a grand manner on Friday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually preside over an open debate on maritime security at the UN Security Council (UNSC) on August 9. Spokesperson in the Ministry of External Affairs Arindam Bagchi said it will be the first time an Indian Prime Minister will chair an open debate at the UN Security Council.
