1. India records 39,361 fresh COVID-19 cases, 416 deaths

India reported 39,361 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry at 8 am on Monday. The death toll climbed to 4,20,967 with 416 daily fatalities. The active cases stand at 4,11,189.

2. Metro services disrupted, commuters stranded after mild tremors reported in Delhi

An earthquake of magnitude 4.0 on the Richter scale was reported near Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh on Monday, said the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).

2. Methane gas emissions from Tehri Dam lethal, scientists warn

There are many hydro power projects in the state of Uttarakhand through which electricity is generated. Tehri Dam, one of the largest dams in Asia, located in the state is one such hydroelectric complex. Now, scientists from the Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology have observed a large scale emission of Methane gas from the Tehri Dam for quite some time, but were not able to deduce as to how much methane gas is being released from the dam.

3. Param Bir's aide spoke about toppling govt: builder tells cops
