Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 2 pm on Wednesday amid ruckus by Opposition parties. House Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu suspended some Trinamool Congress (TMC) MPs from the entire session of the day as they swelled the Well of the House raising slogans and holding placards.

2. Lok Sabha proceedings adjourned for 3rd time amid Oppn protests

Lok Sabha proceedings were adjourned for the third time on Wednesday after vociferous protests by the Opposition over Pegasus snooping and other issues.  

3. Well fought: President, PM lead country in applauding Borgohain for Olympic bronze medal

Lovlina Borgohain's "dogged determination" drew all-round praise as the country raised a toast to the young boxer for winning a bronze medal in her maiden Olympic Games.

5.Priyanka Gandhi slams Yogi Adityanath govt over doctor's killing

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday attacked the Yogi Adityanath dispensation over the killing of an Ayurvedic doctor in Sitapur, saying the security system for the common people is in a poor state and the Uttar Pradesh government is not doing anything except indulging in false propaganda.

4. Pilot, co-pilot of crashed helicopter in Pathankot still missing

The pilot and the co-pilot of the Dhruv helicopter that crashed on Tuesday into the Ranjit Sagar Dam in Pathankot are still missing. Although there has been no official defence statement on this crash, sources had said on Tuesday that both the pilot and the co-pilot 'were safe'.

5. Air Marshal Suraj Kumar Jha takes over as Air Officer in Charge Personnel

Air Marshal Suraj Kumar Jha on August 1 took over as the Air Officer in Charge Personnel at Air headquarters. Commissioned in 1984, Jha has flown over 2,900 hours in different fighter aircraft. He was the Joint Secretary Air in the Department of Military Affairs, the Ministry of Defence informed in a press release.

3. NIA files charge sheet against 7 Maoists in J'khand cops killing case

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday said that it has filed a supplementary charge sheet against seven members of the banned CPI-Maoist in connection with its probe into the 2019 killing of five policemen in Jharkhand's Saraikela Kharsawan district.  

4.Cuomo urged to resign after probe finds he harassed 11 women

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo faced mounting pressure Tuesday to resign, including from President Joe Biden and other onetime Democratic allies, after an investigation found he sexually harassed nearly a dozen women and worked to retaliate against one of his accusers.  

5. Officer dead, suspect killed in violence outside Pentagon

A Pentagon police officer died after being stabbed Tuesday during a burst of violence at a transit center outside the building, and a suspect was shot by law enforcement and died at the scene, the Pentagon said Tuesday.
