Andhra Police bust brothel run by couple, rescue Bihar girl and arrest three

Balapur Police rescued a 17-year-old girl from a brothel and arrested three involved in prostitution from Rangareddy district. The minor girl from Bihar was forced into prostitution by a couple living at Royal Colony in the Balapur Police Station area

Hyderabad: Balapur Police have rescued a 17-year-old teenage girl from a brothel house in Rangareddy district. The police have also arrested three people, including a man and his wife, in connection with the prostitution. Another person escaped the raid. Police also seized Rs2,420 in cash, three cell phones and condom packets from the suspects.

Police have been informed that prostitution is taking place in a house in the Royal Colony at Balapur Police Station area in Rangareddy. Anti Human Trafficking Units and the police jointly carried out raids in the house and rescued the teenager from Bihar.

The couple Rehana Begum and Syed Abubakar, a couple from Balapur Royal Colony. decided to run a prostitution ring to make easy money. They started prostitution with their friend Salma Begum. Rehana moved to the Royal Colony from Chandrayangutta two months ago just to run the brothel. While staying in Chandrayangutta, the 17-year-old neighbour girl approached Rehana for a job. She lied to the minor girl she would give her a job and put her in prostitution.

Rehana started collecting Rs2000 from customers and used to give half of the money to the girl. Balapur Police conducted the raid in the area following a tip-off and found the girl with a customer, who was remanded. The minor girl was taken into a rescue home and a case has been registered and an investigation has already started into the incident.
