Bengaluru: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, who is currently on a three-day Karnataka visit, delivered a speech at the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) campus. He visited Bengaluru's JNCASR campus to unveil the foundation stone of the 'Innovation and Development Center'. Speaking after inaugurating the foundation stone, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu said, "The problems of the agriculture sector need to be solved through new innovations. This organisation is doing well in that regard. Scientists need to serve the people and the farmers through their scientific discoveries".
Vice President began his speech in Kannada and said that he is delighted to come to the foundation stone laying ceremony. The research conducted by any institution should be relevant to society, be it academic or industrial. In this context, translational research assumes importance and I am glad to note that this institution has generated over 300 patents and promoted the establishment of few startups based on indigenous inventions. He further added that the organisation is well-known for its achievements globally. JNCASR has made outstanding contributions in the field of science.
