Tihar sources said that Bhatkal always had faith in Unani treatment. While he was absconding, he himself lived disguised as a Unani doctor. Even after being put in jail, he trusts Unani medicine more than allopathic medicine.

According to the jail administration, he does not have any serious illness, but even for his common ailments, he wants to get himself treated with Unani medicines.
