Mulugu:The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization's world heritage site tag has been tagged with Ramappa temple in Telangana's Warangal, Cultural Ministry informed on Sunday.
"It gives me immense pleasure to share that @UNESCO has conferred the World Heritage tag to Ramappa Temple at Palampet, Warangal, Telangana. On behalf of the nation, particularly from the people of Telangana, I express my gratitude to Hon PM @narendramodi for his guidance & support," wrote Union Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy in a tweet.
With the honour, Ramappa temple has become the first architectural site identified as world heritage site in Telugu states. The decision was made during World Heritage Committee meeting held in China, as per sources.
