New Delhi:Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin held talks on Friday with Congress Party president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi. It was his first meeting with the Gandhis after Stalin's DMK backed by the Congress won the election in Tamil Nadu in April.
Although it was termed as a courtesy meeting, the leaders are believed to have discussed various issues as the Parliamentary session is set to begin next month. Soon after the meeting, Rahul Gandhi shared a picture with Stalin on Twitter, saying, "Congress President Smt Sonia Gandhi and I had the pleasure of meeting Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Shri MK Stalin and Smt Durgavathy Stalin earlier today. We will keep working with the DMK to build a strong and prosperous state for the Tamil people."
