New Delhi: Taliban has taken full control of Afghanistan and people are struggling to leave the country. Amid all the uncertainties and shattered hopes, Afghan refugees living in Delhi continued to rush to the Embassy of Afghanistan in New Delhi but even the embassy officials are helpless in the situation.
ETV Bharat talked to Adiba, an Afghan refugee living in the national capital since December 2019. Adiba along with her other relatives and counterparts gathered outside Afghan Embassy to consult with the officials concerned on her visa issues. Talking about the situation in Afghanistan, she expressed anguish and said that the Afghan people can never trust the Taliban.
"They have completely captured our country and the situation is worst. All our leaders have left us and even our president ran away. My relatives are there, I talked to them and they said the situation was normal for them in Kabul but they couldn't trust Taliban," Adiba said.
Recalling past experiences, Adiba said that the Taliban are clever and will do certain things to be accepted by some governments and the United Nations and "then they will show their real face."
