New Delhi:Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Friday appealed to the students not to feel apprehensive about the board results evaluation as optional exams are likely to be conducted in August. He was addressing the board examination students of the nation through a pre-recorded message on his Twitter handle.
Nishank expressed hope by saying that the methodology for result evaluation has been prepared by CBSE after getting approval from the Supreme Court to assess the ability and merit of the students. He assured the students by saying that if any student is unhappy with the results then he/she can appear for an alternative offline exam in August.

The minister said that justified marks will be given to the students as the step has been taken keeping in mind their health and future. Owing to a poor health condition, the minister appeared live through his three and a half minutes video message on his social media account. Notably, during the live sessions, queries were also raised by NEET aspirants on conduction examinations which have been postponed in the wake of the Covid pandemic.

Nishank got infected with Covid-19 during the second wave of the pandemic. He had to be re-admitted to Delhi AIIMS owing to post covid complications. The announcement of the cancellation of board exams was made by Prime Minister Modi as Nishank was unable to attend the high-level committee meeting due to his ill health.
