Tumkuru:Greeshma, a girl student from Koratagegere, who had attempted to commit suicide at being denied the opportunity to appear in Class 10 annual examinations, has managed to score maximum marks in the supplementary exams. As she topped the examination her school fees is likely to be waived off. The SSLC supplementary Examinations for 2020-21 were held on September 27 and 29 and the results were announced recently.
Greeshma, daughter of Narasimhamoorthy and Padmavathi of Gotaragere area, who had written the examination at Alvas School, Moodabidire, topped the state with 599 marks out of 625. Greeshma, who had scored 95 per cent in Class 9, was not issued a hall ticket for the SSLC exams as she could not clear school fees dues. Her parents came to know about it when they tried to enrol her for the exams. Appeals to the Deputy Director for Public Instruction (DDPI) and the Education Minister went in vain.
