Srinagar: Unidentified gunmen kill civilian in Srinagar

A senior police officer told ETV India that "gunmen opened fire on a civilian in the Karan Nagar area of the city, seriously injuring him." The man was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir): A group of unidentified gunmen on Saturday opened fire on a civilian in Srinagar's Karan Nagar area, officials said.

A senior police officer told ETV India that "gunmen opened fire on a civilian in the Karan Nagar area of the city, seriously injuring him." The man was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Police identified the dead as Majid Ahmad Gojri son of Abdul Rehman, a resident of Chetahbal

Meanwhile, the police have cordoned the area and a search operation has been launched to nab the attackers.
