Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh):At least six people lost their lives and many others were injured in the separate incidents of wall collapse following heavy rains in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. The incidents of the wall collapse took place in Jaunpur, Kaushambi, Barabanki. Incessant heavy rains across Uttar Pradesh over the past few days have been a cause for concern.

In Jaunpur, three people died while two others were seriously injured who are being treated at the hospital. In Kaushambi, a woman died while her husband was injured in the collapse. In Barabanki, a man and his son died after being buried in the rubble due to the collapse of a mud wall.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has cancelled his elaborated tour of Barabanki. The chief minister had to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of about 400 projects here. Apart from this, he also had to hold public meetings in the Zaidpur and Barabanki Sadar assemblies of the district.

Programmes were to be held in Harakh of the Zaidpur assembly and in the city's GIC auditorium, and they have been cancelled due to rain.
