Mumbai (Maharashtra): All India Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi is all set for the Uttar Pradesh elections, the Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamna stated, adding that Owaisi is the architect behind the successful journey of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The editorial also alleged him of being fully prepared to create a 'racial' and 'religious hatred' ahead of the UP Assembly elections next year.
Sena also highlighted the recent visit of the AIMIM chief to Lucknow from Prayagraj, wherein Owaisi's supporters had raised 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogans, adding why the Hyderabad MP makes provocative speeches and instigates his supporters. The editorial also said that Owaisi resorted to playing similar dirty politics in West Bengal, in order to ensure the defeat of Mamata Banerjee. However, the people of Bengal voted openly for Banerjee and clearly rebuked Owaisi's dirty politics.
Sena also lambasted Owaisi for the defeat of Tejashwi Yadav by a slender margin in the Bihar elections, adding that had the AIMIM chief not fanned the flames of bigotry the RJD leader would've been in power now.
"Prime Minister Modi went to America and gave a strong speech on bigotry, terrorism, separatism etc. And for this, he deserves immense praise. But at the same time slogans of 'Pakistan Zindabad' are being raised in our own country, what to call it? Seems like such slogans are being raised to create unrest between communities. Well, those who raise such slogans need to remember that strong patriotic Hindutva leaders like Modi, Yogi are in power in the state and country. In this war once again some people's heads will be broken, blood will be shed. This kind of democratic game will continue in elections. Slogans of 'Pakistan Zindabad' were raised in Rae Bareli. What exactly is the policy of Owaisi and the AIMIM?" read the editorial.
