SCR meeting focusses on completion of pending projects

Hyderabad: South Central Railway conducted a meeting with the MP's from Telangana, Maharashtra, and Karnataka regarding the progress of ongoing projects and pending projects in the three states. This includes electrification, new line works, doubling and the third line works in SCR jurisdiction. The meeting took place at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad, Telangana. The meeting was headed by General Manager of South Central Railway Gajanan Mallya.

MPs from Telangana, Karnataka and Maharashtra attended the meeting. The members of parliament who attended the meeting complimented the SCR officials for their commitment and excellent service during the pandemic. They raised several issues related to railway development works and services in their respective constituencies.

The MPs demanded the construction of new railway lines, redevelopment of stations, provision of passenger amenities, provision of additional stoppages for various express trains, construction of roads over bridges and speeding up of pending projects. GM for SCR stated input and feedback received from the MPs would be given due consideration while formulating the proposals for new works and services. Gajanan Mallya stated that there is no need for Kazipet coach factory for Telangana , instead wagon factory will be allotted to Telangana.
