Telangana: School headmaster prostrates at students' houses in protest, parents relent

The parents realizing the importance of education gave in to his protests and agreed to send their children to school. Sridhar Rao said that he will continue with the protest until every student comes back to school.

Sangareddy (Telangana):A school headmaster of a govt-run school in the Mudi Manikyam village in the Pulkal zone of Sangareddy district, protested against students skipping the school in a unique manner. Upon noticing the absence of eight students since the commencement of classes from his high school, the headmaster Sridhar Rao personally went to the homes of his students. His attempts turned fruitful as parents realized the importance of education for their wards.

Actually, the Zilla Parishad High School in the Mudi Manikyam has a total of 175 students and some of these students from different classes have not been attending since the school started. Prompting Sridhar Rao to think differently to draw them back to school and he ventured out to achieve it.

In fact, he didn't mind even prostrating before the houses when the parents refused to send their children back to school despite his requests. However, his sincerity in impressing the families about the significance of academics in a youngster's life paid off well. As the parents understood the importance of education and agreed to send their children back to school. "I will continue with the protest until every student comes back to school," vows Sridhar Rao.
