New Delhi: The Supreme Court has issued notice on a plea filed by Asaram Bapu, a self-styled godman, in which he has challenged the Rajasthan High Court's order dismissing his bail application and sought his release for medical treatment.
The bench comprising of Justice BR Gavai and Justice Krishna Murari heard the matter today. Senior Advocate Siddharth Luthra, appearing for Asaram Bapu, said that his medical condition is very poor and he needs a holistic treatment preferably ayurvedic. Luthra submitted that Bapu, the 83-year-old man's CT Scan score was 8/25 pertaining to a serious condition.
