New Delhi: A case involving Afghanistan has been adjourned by the Supreme Court by six weeks after its advocate said that due to the ongoing turmoil, he had been unable to get instructions from that country's embassy.

A bench comprising Justice Vineet Saran and Justice Dinesh Maheshwari asked if six weeks would be enough given the detoriating situation in the country to which Advocate Eijaz Maqbool, appearing for embassy, said that he would at least get some instructions.

"We should pray for our neighbouring country and hope that it stabilises soon," said Maqbool.
