Deepender Singh Hooda, MP from Haryana (INC) said that the government boasts about building toilets, but farmers are treated worse than enemies. Electricity , water supply, toilet, internet were removed from farmers' protesting sites. Farmers are fighting for the consumers too, who would have to bear heavy prices. Farmers' are fighting for their self-respect. With the power of love, they would overcome the hatred, he said. He further stated that as a son of a farmer I appeal to repeal the laws. The government is not aatmanirbharrather aatmamukth, he said.

The government stands for the welfare of poor, suppressed and women. The House adjourned yesterday to meet at 9 am on February 4. The Budget Session of Parliament started on January 29 with the President's address. Due to uproar over farm laws, the House was adjourned on February 2. As opposition and Government reached a consensus, it was decided that fourteen hours would be allocated to discuss on farmers' protest on February 3.
On February 3, citing Rule 255, Sanjay Singh, Sushil Kumar Gupta, N D Gupta were withdrawn from the House by Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaih Naidu due to improper code of conduct.
Gulam Nabi Azad, referring to British's repeal of agricultural laws, pleaded for the repeal of farm laws. The House witnessed Prasanna Acharya, MP from Odisha, Dr K Keshava Rao, MP from Telangana, Tiruchi Siva, MP from Tamil Nadu, Prof Ram Gopal Yadav, Samajwadi Party MP, Elamaram Kareem, MP from Kerala and others discussing on the motion of thanks.
