Jaipur: Be it uniting legislators to elect Navjot Singh Sidhu as the state Congress president or to replace former Chief Minister Amarinder Singh with Charanjit Singh Channi, Congress high command entrusted all these responsibilities to Rajasthan Revenue Minister Harish Chaudhary.
Now, after the resignation of Navjot Singh Sidhu as the state Congress president, the party has again entrusted the responsibility of persuading Sidhu to Harish Chaudhary. On the day Navjot Singh Sidhu tendered his resignation, the party high command sent Harish Chaudhary to Punjab.
Everything fine in Punjab
Chowdhary has returned to Rajasthan today because campaigning for local elections to start soon. Talking to ETV Bharat about the appointment of Charanjit Singh Channi as the Punjab CM, Chowdhary said that everything is fine in Punjab.

"Whenever a common man gets major responsibility, there are always disputes. Powerful people, powerful entities create disputes," said Chowdhary. "But now work is being done for common Punjabis in Punjab. The Congress party in Punjab is working in unison," he added.
Party workers working unitedly
Talking about Sidhu's resignation, Chowdhary said that the definition of betterment is that the workers of Congress are working unitedly.
Chowdhary said, "If we see on the ground in Punjab, the government waived off the electricity bills of the people of Punjab. The Congress worker is being listened to. Decisions are being taken for Punjab and it is only for the betterment of the Punjab Congress."
Sidhu's resignation
Harish Chaudhary said that Navjot Singh Sidhu has laid out some things internally in the party and only national president Sonia Gandhi will take the final decision on those things. He said that whether Navjot Singh Sidhu withdraws his resignation or not, depends on Sidhu.
'Ready for whatever responsibility the party gives'
Reports in the media have suggested that Harish Chaudhary will soon be made in-charge of the Punjab Congress. In response to this question, Harish Chaudhary denied any knowledge in the matter.

"I am a Congress worker, I am ready for whatever responsibility the Congress organization gives me," he told the correspondent.
Not authorized to speak
Asked about the cabinet expansion and other political decisions in Rajasthan, Harish Chaudhary said that he was not authorized to speak regarding the matter. However, he said that the final decision regarding Rajasthan will be taken by national president Sonia Gandhi, state in-charge Ajay Maken and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
