"Ready for live Narco test:" Vinesh Phogat hits back at WFI chief

Vinesh Phogat said that she would like to tell Brij Bhushan that not only her but all the girls who have complained against him are ready to undergo the Narco test. Phogat also added that the test should be done 'live' so that the country knows about 'his cruelty' to the 'daughters' of the country.

New Delhi:A day after Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Singh dared the protesting wrestlers for a polygraph test, the country's top wrestler Vinesh Phogat hit back at him saying that all the women wrestlers, who had complained against the WFI chief, are prepared to undergo the same. However, Phogat added a caveat saying that the test should be done on camera so that everyone gets to know about his misdeeds.

Speaking to reporters, Vinesh Phogat said, "I would like to tell Brij Bhushan that not only Vinesh, all the girls who have given the complaint, are ready to undergo the Narco test. It should be done live so that the entire country knows about his cruelty to the daughters of the country." Phogat's comments came after the WFI chief said on Sunday that he is ready to undergo a polygraph test if top Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia undergo the same. In a tweet, he wrote, "I am ready for a narco test, polygraph test or lie detector test if the same test of wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia is also conducted along with his test."

Earlier on Sunday, Singh speaking about the allegations levelled against him by the wrestlers, said that "if someone decided to speak lies then they can do so." Singh, who is also a BJP MP, added that he wanted to retire from politics in 2014 but continued on Union Home Minister Amit Shah's insistence.

Several ace grapplers including Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat and Sakshee Mallik have been protesting at Delhi's Jantar Mantar accusing the WFI chief of sexual harassment and demanding his arrest. On May 19, the wrestlers had marched from Jantar Mantar to Bangla Sahib Gurudwara in New Delhi to mark the 25th day of protest against Brij Bhushan. Two separate FIRs were registered on April 28 following the Supreme Court's notice to Delhi Police into the plea filed by the wrestlers earlier during their protest.
