Read India Celebration (RIC) 2021 is a unique opportunity for the school (5th to 12th grade) and college (Degree & PG) students to engage in a transformative non-academic fun reading and leadership experience. RIC 2021 (International) is a one of its kind readership, writing, problem-solving, storytelling and leadership initiative for students. A grand stage to celebrate Independent Thinking, Diverse Opinions, Knowledge & Teacher as the basis fora living (i.e. happiness, success, harmony and leadership). A stage to celebrate human essence with students from across the world.

The focus of RIC 2021 – Read, Think, Act

  • Read focuses on 3 Rs

  • Think focuses on 3 things that can be done to get better
  • The act focuses on doing 3 things on a daily basis for conscious & continuous improvement

Students can participate in an easy 3-step process:

  • Register @ https://readindia.info/cms/student-register
  • Read a book/research on a topic (please refer to the proposed topics/themes at the bottom of this email)
  • Submit a one-page summary on book/research along with a novel idea to resolve any issue of their choice + a 1 to 2 min video on RIC experience

Timelines for RIC 2021:

  • Last date for student registrations – July 30, 2021
  • Last date for student submissions – August 15, 2021
  • Round#1 evaluations - Sep / Oct 2021 (depending on the volume of submissions)
  • Three leadership coaching sessions for round #2 qualifiers from 3 experts (leading academician, global corporate leader, security analyst) – Nov 1st week, 2021
  • Round #2 screening for 100 qualifiers – November 2021
  • 2 Week exercises for finalists (week#1: Identify & overcome weakness; week#2: Identify top strength, prepare the roadmap for success) - Dec 1st & 2nd Week.
  • Grand Finale for 5 finalists in each category – 3rd or last week of December 2021

About & History of RIC:

Read India Celebration started in the year 2015 under the guidance of Dr Pradeep Kumar Ramancharla, professor of Earthquake Engineering and Registrar of IIIT, Hyderabad. In RIC 2015, more than 1,00,000 school and college students from Telangana & Andhra Pradesh participated, whereas, students from more than 25 states across India and around the world including from the United States of America, Canada, New Zealand, Dubai participated in RIC 2020.

It is worth mentioning that RIC 2020 was telecast as a 3-episode tele series on WION TV (India’s international channel) & a special feature on Zee News.
