New Delhi: Rajya Sabha witnessed uproar by Opposition parties today also and the House was adjourned till 12 pm. Opposition MPs have been pressing on Pegasus snooping row, Covid crisis, inflation. Some of the MPs ventured into the Well of the House on the seventh day of the Monsoon session also.

Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu said notices for suspension of business given by MPs are not accepted. The Upper House passed the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Amendment Bill, 2021 without discussion amid the Opposition's ruckus yesterday. The Marine Aids to Navigation Bill 2021 was passed on Tuesday through voice vote similarly.

Earlier, Trinamool Congress MP Santanu Sen was suspended for the entire session after he alleged snatched IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw's statement papers, tore it and threw it at the Chair. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi demanded discussion of Pegasus row and said proceedings would be let to continue until the government agrees to it. The session is scheduled to end on August 13, 2021.
