New Delhi:The probe committee that was constituted to probe into the sexual harassment allegations leveled by protesting wrestlers against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has not reached any conclusion, ANI reported on Saturday quoting sources. The report of the committee has been submitted to the Delhi police.

A probe committee was formed under the chairmanship of Indian Olympic Association president PT Usha during the first round of the wrestler's protest in the beginning of the year. Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur had promised an independent probe into the allegations made by the wrestlers, following which the wrestlers called off their protest.

However, as the second round of protests resumed in the capital's Jantar Mantar last Sunday, the wrestlers alleged that though the committee had submitted its report to the Sports Ministry, its findings were not made public yet. The wrestlers said they will not back down this time until the WFI chief is arrested.

The Delhi Police Friday registered two FIRs against the WFI chief upon the Supreme Court's insistence. Earlier the wrestlers approached the top court demanding registration of FIR by the Delhi Police into the sexual harassment charges pressed by seven woman wrestlers against Singh. Singh, however, stayed firm on his ground reiterating that he will not resign since he is not a criminal.

On Saturday the Delhi Police furnished a copy of the FIR to the wrestlers. The copy of the second FIR that has been registered under POCSO will be provided to the victim's family, the police said. The Delhi police also stated that they will be providing security to the aggrieved wrestlers. Their statements will soon be recorded, the police said. Singh had allegedly sexually exploited women wrestlers while they were playing in the country as well as abroad during international events.
