Lucknow (UP): Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Friday came down heavily on the Yogi government over reports of the deaths of more than 100 people including children due to fever in UP.
"The news of over 100 lives being lost to a viral fever in UP needs immediate attention. Has the UP government not learnt any lessons from the horrific consequences of its disastrous Covid management in the 2nd wave? All possible resources should be directed towards providing healthcare to the affected and taking adequate precautions to prevent the disease from spreading," the Congress leader tweeted.

Earlier on Thursday too, Priyanka had hit out at the state government alleging that no concrete steps were taken to boost the health system.
"Look at the condition of hospitals. Is this your "Number 1" facility for treatment? The news of the death of 100 people including children due to fever in Firozabad, Mathura, Agra and many other places in UP is very worrying. The UP government has still not taken any concrete steps to strengthen the health system," Priyanka tweeted.
