Prayagraj (UP): One of the six suspects in Delhi terror module, Zeeshan Qamar (28) who was arrested in Prayagraj from Kareli police station area, had allegedly undergone training in Pakistan, according to the Delhi Police Special Cell.
As per reports, Zeeshan from Allahabad and his associates had hatched a conspiracy to carry out attacks in different parts of the country. Besides targeting religious events like Navratri and Dussehra, many big leaders, including the prime minister, were on their target, sources stated.
The Delhi Police Special Cell on Tuesday had arrested six people, including two Pakistan-trained terrorists during a multi-state operation.
The arrested youth has been accused of conspiring to terrorise the country by collaborating with ISI. The ATS also recovered an Improvised Explosive Device from Naini area, which was defused by the Bomb Disposal Squad.
Currently, police and the ATS are investigating for additional details related to the arrested youth's links with Pakistan and Isis. Three other persons were also arrested in the raids and they are being interrogated.
"They formed 2 teams -one was being coordinated by Dawood Ibrahim's brother, Anees Ibrahim, which was tasked to get the arms into India from across the border & keeping them concealed here. The other team was to arrange funding via Hawala," Delhi Police Special Cell said.
