New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau on his victory in the elections and stressed bolstering ties with Canada.
Taking to Twitter, the Prime Minister said, "Congratulations Prime Minister @JustinTrudeau on your victory in the elections! I look forward to continuing working with you to further strengthen India-Canada relations, as well as our cooperation on global and multilateral issues."
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday won the third term in victory for Liberals in Canada's election. Trudeau's Liberals projected to win more seats than any other party with 158, adding just one seat in 2019.
Earlier this year, in a telephonic conversation with the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, PM Modi assured that India would do its best to support Canada's vaccination efforts, just as it had done for many other countries already.
Expressing his appreciation, Prime Minister Trudeau had said that if the world managed to conquer Covid-19, it would be significant because of India's tremendous pharmaceutical capacity, and Prime Minister Modi's leadership in sharing this capacity with the world.
