Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday chaired a four-and-a-half-hour marathon meeting with the Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states in Varanasi. The CMs were asked to focus firmly on good governance and maintain a connect with party workers, sources said.
Chief Ministers of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, along with Deputy CMs from Bihar and Nagaland attended the meeting.
The Prime Minister also asked the CMs to make sure that the implementation of welfare schemes was done in a proper manner and the benefits reached the target groups.
