Agra:Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen will visit India from October 9 to 11. Frederiksen will directly reach Agra along with her husband Bo Tenberg on Saturday night. She will be accorded warm welcome at Air Force station by a Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Cultural programmes are also planned during her visit. She is scheduled to visit Taj Mahal on Sunday at 6am and later visit Agra Fort.
In the wake of Frederiksen's visit, Taj Mahal will remain closed from 6am to 7.30am on Sunday and Agra Fort will remain closed from 7am to 10am. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has updated the same on Taj Mahal website.
Danish team has visited and inspected the tourists' spots to keep security on check. The team held a meeting with ASI and district administration. ASI superintendent archaeologist Rajkumar Patel said that the official programme of the Danish Prime Minister's arrival in Agra has not yet been received. It has been updated on the website regarding the closure of the monument to prevent tourists' inconvenience. If there is any change in the schedule of Frederiksen's arrival in Agra, that will also be updated.
